Tommy Blitz (Stamper)
Name: Tommy Blitz (Stamper). Age: Achtundvierzig is my age in German. Instrument: Strings & Things. Band/Former Bands: “Wyld Ryde,” “Hardlein”, “Hangar Inc,” “High Voltage,” “Ball Breaker,” and “Metal Institution." How long on instrument: I’ve played for over 33 years / Since 1987. Equipment: I like to use “Gibson,” “Engl,” and “Seymour Duncan." Influences: “Billy Squier,” “Ozzy,” “Scott Dalhover,” “Chris Oliva,” and “Kai Hansen” are probably my biggest influences. It’s hard to narrow it down. My first gig: A memorable show in a crowded community center in Fern Creek. Hobbies: My hobbies are painting, chess, linguistics (learning new languages), and handling our 13 pet snakes with my wife. Favorite movies: I love a lot of movies, but to pick a few it would have to be “The Matrix,” “Creep Show,” and “Krull." Favorite food: That’s easy. Anything I can put in my mouth except for beans. Favorite place: I haven’t been there yet, but it’s Neuschwanzstein Castle. Favorite sports or team: “The Royal Game” and yes, chess is a sport. What I'm listening to nowadays: Right now I’m listening to “Beast in Black” and “Loverboy." Coolest thing I've done: I made “Musician of the Month!." Most embarrassing moment: I tripped over a stage monitor and had to play on my back. Bad Habits: Drink anything that’s offered!. What was your first concert ever: My first concert was in San Fransisco to see Primus 1991. If you could meet a Rockstar ( past or present ), who would it be, and why: I’d love to meet “Paul Quinn” from “Saxon” because I love the way he composes and he’s been a major influence through the years. Who do you love: My better half, my wife!.
