News From the Pit
By Eddy Metal

Well, it looks like my boss at the newspaper may be right about things not going back to normal in a long time, or ever. I had hoped he would be wrong, but the man rarely is, I have noticed. He is a wise dude and I am very proud to have served under him. I do not have much to write about musically, for obvious reasons, this month, so I will just run my piehole about shit that really bothers me, and write about whatever catches my fancy.

And musically? I have played two shows this whole year! And I probably only would have played one if the other wasn't outside in summertime, thanks to Allen Ashbaugh! I miss reviewing National shows and taking pictures, and I miss seeing all of your friendly faces out at the shows. I am a people person and I love good conversation. All of this has been stripped from me, over some bullshit. And I really feel for the folks who make their living this way, like promoter Terry Harper, my peeps at Louisville Palace, the staff and servers at various clubs that have suffered, and the cover band musicians. I finally played a show with my band Year Of The Gun this year, at Louisville Billiards on Friday the 13th of November and had a good time, and it felt good to be playing my music again.

I apologise for the lack of material on my behalf, but this is out of my control.

God bless you all, and I hope things get back to normal for everyone soon.

Fender's Den Of Sin to return on January 10th:

Fender is going under the knife for an operation so he will be out of commission for a bit, but no fears, he will return on January 10. And he will be sporting some new digital gear for the show that will upgrade audio bigtime for us local musicians! Props to Louisville stage Rental for the sponsorship! Get well Soon Fender.
