Down On The Corner
Mid-Year 2016
Well, the year is half-done and I still haven't finished several things I've started, particularly the conversion of back issues of LMN to a digital format. I plead that I've slowed down due to a slowly failing computer, which lost an essential portion of the database I used, resulting in th inability to export data for upload to the website.
Sigh. What that means is I have spent many days writing the code necessary to update the LMN site with gig info and the monthly articles. It's not terribly difficult, just slow and painstaking work with code that I had mostly forgotten and so had to relearn a bunch of it, some so I could understand some stuff I had written early. Geek stuff, y'know.
Enough of that. There is a ton of live music for you to see this summer, meaning you will stay busy trekking around the town, the state and perhaps other parts of the country as well, if your passion is strong enough and your bank account is too. Keep in mind that for those folks trying to make a living at it, touring is the only thing that generates adequate revenue, if at all. Buy their merchandise, particularly that of Louisville performers.
